Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

On the subject of the summer transfer window and what Bielsa plans to do in it in regards to potential incoming transfers, Hay had this to say on the matter. (37.36)

He said: “I’m told as well that he’s got a pretty clear idea of what he wants to do in the summer, of the numbers that would go, and the numbers that would come in, it is possible we’ll see up to five signings.”

Despite the club not bringing in any new players to Elland Road throughout the recent January window, they were very busy during the previous summer transfer window, spending a total of £96.1 million on players such as Robin Koch, Diego Llorente, Rodrigo, Raphinha and others (per Transfermarkt).

So far this season, Bielsa has guided his side to 10th place in the Premier League table, winning 11, drawing two and losing 11 along the way.

TIF Thoughts on Phil Hay’s comments on Bielsa and his plans for the summer transfer window…

With Hay’s suggestion that there could be up to a massive five potential incoming signings arriving at Elland Road this summer, this says to us that Bielsa has identified the areas in his squad that could do with strengthening.

Do you think Leeds will make a lot of transfers this summer?

For example, with Leeds having conceded 43 goals in the league so far this season, perhaps Bielsa has his eye on bringing in a new defender in the summer to help boost the defensive line.

On the flip side, the fact that Bielsa apparently has his eye on bringing in some new players this summer could potentially result in some current Leeds players leaving to make room in the squad.
