Celtic pundit Paul John Dykes has recently slammed the club’s youngster Armstrong Okoflex for his activity on social media.

Dykes appeared as a guest on the latest episode of the ‘A Celtic State of Mind podcast’ and the panel discussed multiple issues involving the Hoops. One topic of discussion was Okoflex’s social media activity, after he liked an Instagram post involving Jeremie Frimpong’s negative comments towards Celtic following his recent departure. Dykes slammed Okoflex and his attitude.

According to ‘well-respected‘ Instagram feed Rising Ballers, Frimpong, who has now left Celtic for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen has suggested that Celtic didn’t meet his demands and dreams and people will see what he means soon. This post was liked by Okoflex and Karamoko Dembele too.

Dykes had a lot of criticism for Okoflex and he doesn’t think that the youngster can play for a bigger club and make a name for himself.

He said: “Obviously Frimpong’s played some games and won some trophies at Celtic. Okoflex – what’s he done as a footballer? What’s Dembele done as a footballer? Yet I get the sense from what’s coming out from these players that they are more ambitious than what Celtic Football club is. I would be amazed if someone like Okoflex actually was to go to a bigger club and make a name for himself beyond Celtic. I mean, if that’s the attitude you’re getting from a teenager, I’m very concerned for the future.”

TIF Thoughts on Dykes’ comments about Okoflex…

The 18-year-old might have made two appearances in the league for Celtic this season, but he had never played for the Bhoys before that; even though he was on the bench in one game back in 2019 (as per Transfermarkt).

A product of the Arsenal youth academy, Okoflex has previously been involved in controversy on social media as well. Things like these aren’t going to help his reputation at the club and it is understandable why Dykes isn’t happy with his behaviour.
