Celtic’s poor 2020/21 league campaign continued on Saturday afternoon, as they were beaten 2-1 by St Mirren.
It means that Neil Lennon’s side now only have one win to their name from their last six matches in the Scottish Premiership.
That poor run of results means that the Bhoys remain second in the table, although they are 23 points adrift of rivals Rangers after their opening 24 matches in this year’s campaign.
Celtic fell behind against St Mirren after just 18 minutes, with Kristian Dennis opening the scoring. Odsonne Edouard then equalised from the hosts with his 13th goal of the season.
But Ilkay Durmus put the visitors back in front just five minutes after Edouard’s equaliser, and Celtic failed to find the leveller that they were pushing for, despite dominating the statistics.
Plenty of Celtic supporters took to the club’s social media to aim their frustrations at Lennon after their third league defeat of the season, after he issued his verdict on his team’s performance against St Mirren.
