Celtic fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news concerning Rafael Benitez, who was heavily linked with the Parkhead hotseat after becoming a free agent last weekend.
This comes after Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph shared a post on his Twitter page revealing that Benitez “has been contacted by a number of clubs in Europe” and that he “is waiting for the perfect club, ideally in the EPL” to join after leaving his job at Dalian Pro in the Chinese Super League (as per The Mirror).
Joseph also added that Benitez “won’t be taking up any vacancy which may arise at Celtic, nor will he consider Newcastle under Mike Ashley at this time”.
