These Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left unimpressed with the news that they are in the market for defender Kim Min-jae.

A report in The Mirror has claimed that Spurs are ‘weighing up a bid’ for the 24-year-old in an attempt to snatch him away from London rivals Chelsea, who are also reported to be interested in him. He’s a defender that certainly comes with a bit of a reputation, standing at 6’3 tall and given the nickname ‘The Monster’.

Central defence clearly looks to be a cause for concern for Jose Mourinho this window, having also been linked to the likes of Milan Skriniar and Issa Diop so far, but whether or not he’ll be able to get any of them over the line is a different matter.

Here’s what these Spurs fans had to say:

“Why not vestergaard, sven botman, there are a lot more proven cbs”
“Not proven in Europe. He wouldn’t, most likely, improve our team”
“Rodon is better than him”
OMDDDSSSSS”
“Would be better then dier and Sanchez”
“FINALLY”
“Sounds good. Seems we need someone massive for set pieces and crosses”

Do you think Spurs need to sign a defender this month?

Yes

Yes

No

No

They seem to be pretty firm in their convictions, though perhaps his international teammate Son Heung-min would have anything to say on the matter…
