A lot of Leeds United fans expressed their disappointment with Luke Ayling during the Whites’ game against Newcastle United.
The 29-year-old has been heavily involved for Leeds this season in the league, but it is clear that many Whites fans were not happy with his performance against the Toon.

Ayling has been with Leeds since 2016 and has made nearly 175 appearances for the Whites, and under Marcelo Bielsa, he has massively improved and become a key player for Leeds.
However, despite all of that, these Leeds fans were furious with his performance against Newcastle.
“Ayling has been turned so many times in this game. Forgotten how to play RB.”
“Ayling I beg you put a foot in, he’s gonna outpace you all the time”
“I’ve only watched the second half (these kick off times interfere with kid bedtime) but we’ve been awful again. Wide open through the middle and no idea if ayling on the pitch.”
Ayling has found himself playing as a centre-back on some occasions this season, but against Newcastle, he reverted to right-back, though clearly didn’t do enough to impress these Leeds fans.
We will have to see if he plays any better in the Whites’ next league game against Leicester City.
Ayling has, overall, been solid this season but clearly, these Leeds fans felt he struggled.
