Fans of Celtic have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Tom English discussed the club’s draw with St Johnstone on Sunday.
In his post, English, who is the chief sports writer for BBC Scotland, heaped praise on St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson and his players for their 1-1 draw against Celtic, as well as the ‘absolutely terrific’ job Davidson has done at the club in general.
English also claimed that ‘the Neil Lennon stuff’ will ‘come in waves for days’, but it would seem that English’s lack of comment on Lennon and Celtic is something that many fans of the club appear to have taken exception to, as they were left furious by yet another below-par performance from Lennon’s side.
So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in reaction to Tom English’s post on Twitter?
We cant just keep praising the opposition when they arent having to do much. Fair play for decent results but its defo more abt celtic being terrible.

Tom, that is very true and well done to Calum, the bigger story is the collapse of Celtic under Lennon’s leadership, tactically clueless, players disinterested, demotivated and lacking desire

boring as always Tom

Celtic’s draw with St Johnstone means the Bhoys have now won just two out of their last 12 fixtures, with Neil Lennon coming under an increasing amount of pressure with each passing poor result.
Do you think the St Johnstone result could be the end for Lennon?
Yes
No
However, English’s failure to comment on Celtic in any great depth appears to have angered these Celtic fans, many more of whom took to Twitter to voice their opinion on the matter.
To be fair I don’t begrudge Callum getting praised but the same thing was said for Kettlewell at county, Gerard when we played Rangers. Do Celtic just keep coming up against outstanding managers at the top of their game or do Celtic have serious issues?

It was Ross county last week and at Johnstone this week that Lennon’s tactics made them look decent. Any well organized team shows Lennon up for what a fraud he is

Don’t try sucking up to us now.

All in all, it would appear that many Celtic fans would prefer that English give more attention to the club following their draw with St Johnstone, as they feel that yet another poor performance from the Bhoys’ is a bigger story than St Johnstone taking a point off of Celtic.
