Supporters of Celtic have recently reacted to a tweet from Chris Sutton in which he discussed Neil Lennon’s potential team selection for the Scottish Cup final.

On Sunday, the Hoops and Heart of Midlothian will battle it out at Hampden Park to decide the winner of the 2019/20 Scottish Cup (per Sky Sports).

In the build-up to the final, Sutton wrote a piece for the Daily Record and urged Lennon to leave Scott Brown, Tom Rogic and Ryan Christie out of his starting lineup.

The former striker then shared this on Twitter and added that ‘sentiment’ should not come into the Hoops’ manager’s thoughts for the game.

This had lots of fans sharing their opinions on the matter.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say about Chris Sutton’s tweet?

In the piece, the retired striker claimed that David Turnbull ‘simply has to start‘ and he should not make way in the team to accommodate Rogic.

Meanwhile, Ismaila Soro should be in pole position ahead of Brown, and Jeremie Frimpong should be the man to start ahead of Christie, although it is ‘harder to justify leaving him out‘.

During Celtic’s last outing in the competition, the 2-0 win against Aberdeen, all three of the players which Sutton stated should not start in the final started against the Dons (per Transfermarkt).
