Many Celtic fans have been fuming at the performance of Scott Brown in the club’s 4-2 loss to Milan in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
The Hoops lost 4-2 to Milan in their fifth group stage match in the Europa League. They had found themselves 2-0 up but they conceded four goals later on in the game as the hosts staged an impressive comeback (as per WhoScored).
Brown had started the game in the midfield but his performance caught the attention of many Celtic fans, who made their negative opinion clear about the veteran midfielder.
What did Celtic fans make of Scott Brown’s performance?
I think it’s time Scott Brown stops being a starter. Most of the negative play comes from him with no creativity at all. He doesn’t even break the play up the way he used to either

Should Ismaila Soro play instead of Scott Brown?
Yes
No
Soro has done more in this little cameo than Scott brown has done all season and the guy still can’t get a game..

Scott brown is finished

Scott Brown needs put out to pasture, just brutal watching him not have the pace to avoid getting leathered every single game now. Midfield looks a lot more exciting without him in it. Calum MacGregor seems to be getting groomed to replace him but that seems like a waste.

Scott brown legend but its time to go
— Daniel Fagan (@Fagan1888) December 3, 2020
Brown has been a regular for the Hoops this season and has made 23 appearances in all competitions so far. In the league, the Scotsman has made 13 appearances so far and he has captained the club every single time he has started in the league (as per Transfermarkt).
Drop Scott Brown. His influence has gone. Make Callum McGregor captain. Bring Turnball in. Drop the two full backs. Sign two Scottish full backs in January and the ten will be won.

If we continue to play Scott Brown before the obviously superior Ismailia Soro then we deserve everything we get.

Scott Brown is probably the most street wise player in our team but he’s not good at passing that on to other players.

These Celtic fans aren’t pleased by Brown’s performance and a couple of fans want Ismaila Soro to start over him in the next few games.
Brown didn’t make a single tackle in the game but he did make three interceptions against Milan. He made one clearance during the match while only completing one dribble, trailing his teammates in plenty of areas on the night (as per WhoScored).
Therefore, it could be argued that Celtic fans’ feelings towards Brown and his display were justified and summed up the team’s European campaign to this point.
