Celtic were crowned Scottish Cup champions for the fourth consecutive season, as they beat Championship side Heart of Midlothian on penalties.
The Bhoys took the lead after 19 minutes when Ryan Christie’s stunning strike found the back of Craig Gordon’s net. That lead was then doubled ten minutes later as Odsonne Edouard chipped home from the penalty spot.
But they conceded twice in the second half, with Liam Boyce and Stephen Kingsley scoring for Hearts to see the game head to extra time.
Leigh Griffiths put Neil Lennon’s side back in front, before Josh Ginnelly equalised for the Championship team, as the game headed to penalties.
Kristoffer Ajer proved to be the hero, as he scored the winning penalty and Celtic added yet another piece of silverware to their trophy cabinet.
Former Celtic forward Moussa Dembele, who is valued at £36 million (as per Transfermarkt), to the news of Celtic winning the Scottish Cup, and plenty of the club’s supporters were quick to take to social media to plead for the striker to return to the club.

It is clear from these responses that there is a lot of mutual love between Dembele and the fans of his former club, despite the Frenchman having left Parkhead nearly two and a half years ago.
