Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to the latest tweet from Jonathan Veal that recently emerged on social media.
Veal’s latest tweet carried an injury update from Spurs boss Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese has now confirmed that Giovani Lo Celso will be out of action for Spurs’ games in the entire festive period.
Mourinho has revealed that he doesn’t know as to when Lo Celso will be back, but he also said that Tanguy Ndombele was only rested against Stoke City and he is currently fit.
Can Lo Celso turn out to be as injury prone as Lamela?
Another Argentinian made of glass. Are he and Lamela related?
Lo Celso has already missed a few games due to injury this season. The 24-year-old has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring five times so far. In the Premier League, the Argentine has played 11 times, contributing to two goals so far (as per Transfermarkt).
He had scored an important goal in the club’s win over Manchester City, picking up an assist against Liverpool. Some other Spurs fans also gave their opinion about the midfielder’s fitness and injury issues.
These Spurs fans are clearly annoyed about this update and are making their opinion clear about it.
In the Europa League, the midfielder has scored twice and has picked up a rating of 7.51 in the competition. As a result of that, the former Paris Saint-Germain and Real Betis man has been Spurs’ highest-rated player in the Europa League (as per Whoscored).
This clearly suggests that Lo Celso is a very important part of the Spurs squad and considering that games come thick and fast in the festive period, the Lilywhites might just miss the Argentine.
