Many Spurs supporters have flocked to social media in order to respond to a Twitter post from @TheSpursExpress which relayed a report from David Ornstein in The Athletic claiming the club are one of a number interested in signing Dominik Szoboszlai.
The Hungarian currently plays his football for RB Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga and is said to be a target of the Lilywhites’ local rivals Arsenal. So far this season, in league competition, the 20-year-old has made 10 appearances, contributing four goals and six assists (as per Transfermarkt).
In the UEFA Champions League, he’s played five times so far, averaging a solid performance rating of 7.1/10 (as per WhoScored) – proving he is capable of playing to a high standard at the top level.
How have these Tottenham supporters reacted to reports their club are interested in Dominik Szoboszlai?
Get it done @Levy

@SpursOfficial get. This. Done. Such a bargain. One of the most important things is to keep refreshing so we don’t go stagnant like before. Upgrading Lucas or lamela to Szoboszlai is part of doing that.

Cheap deal. Get it done don Levy ?. We can’t depend on Son and Kane always for goals.

We need a goalscoring Midfielder so this would be perfect. Looks tall and strong and that’s what Jose likes

It’s clear from the above responses that most of these Spurs supporters would love to see their club move for the coveted and talked-about talent that is the Hungarian. Given he plays primarily from the left, however, it would be interesting to see where he would fit into Jose Mourinho’s side if he was to arrive, taking into account the current form of Son Heung-min, who has already contributed 10 goals and three assists in 11 Premier League appearances this season.
