Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to slate Matt Doherty over his performance in the Lilywhites’ latest UEFA Europa League game versus LASK on Thursday evening.
The Republic of Ireland international, who joined Spurs in the summer from Wolverhampton Wanderers, has played regularly for the north London club in the Europa League this term, with Doherty playing the full 90 minutes in three of Tottenham’s four Europa League group stage games before Thursday’s meeting with LASK, which he started.
LASK took the lead in the 42nd minute of this game at Linzer Stadion, with Peter Michorl finishing off a counter-attack for the home side which began when Doherty slipped at the other end of the pitch, so perhaps it would be fair to say that the £18m-rated man’s error had a significant amount to do with Spurs conceding the opening goal of the game.

So, judging by these tweets, it certainly seems that Doherty hasn’t done his reputation amongst Lilywhites supporters much good in his latest outing for the club.
Indeed, the fact that Spurs conceded three doesn’t help, and he received a match rating of 5/10 for this efforts (as per Alasdair Gold).
