Many Newcastle United fans have been responding to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account which relayed the news that Rodrigo Vilca scored his first goal for the Toon’s U23s in their 3-2 win over Stoke City’s U23s on Friday evening.
The 21-year-old was signed by Newcastle United in the summer transfer window from Peruvian side Deportivo Municipal for £225,000.
Before Friday’s game, he’d made six appearances for the Toon’s U23s, mainly playing in his favoured attacking-midfield role, though he did also make some appearances on the right.
Now that he’s scored his first goal in Newcastle colours, many Toon fans have been replying to their club’s tweet sharing that news to discuss the Peruvian summer signing.
