Many Newcastle United fans have flocked to slate Jamal Lewis’ performance during the Toon’s 1-0 defeat to Brentford in the Carabao Cup.
Steve Bruce picked a pretty strong side, but the Bees took the lead in the second half thanks to Josh Dasilva’s goal and clung on to seal a place in the semi final.
Lewis played 80 minutes but could not do anything to prevent Newcastle from losing, and these Toon fans were fuming with his display.

Lewis has been in poor form in the Premier League lately, and fans clearly believed that he played poorly against Brentford as well, and these Toon fans continued to slate him.

Newcastle face Manchester City, Liverpool and Leicester City in their next three league games, so there could be some more pain to come for the Toon, who did have chances against the Bees, but overall didn’t do enough to win the game.
Newcastle are eight points clear of the relegation zone, but if they play this poorly in the next few weeks, then that gap could shrink.
