Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has received plenty of criticism on Twitter for his performance for Scotland in their 1-0 UEFA Nations League loss to Israel on Wednesday evening.
McGregor started this fixture and remained on the pitch until the 82nd minute when he was replaced by Kenny McLean, with the 27-year-old Hoops man said to have been looking ‘spent’ when he was withdrawn from the pitch.
The Daily Record gave the £5.4m-rated Celtic midfielder a player rating of six for his performance versus Israel, with a total of four Scotland players receiving a higher rating.
So, how did these international fans react to McGregor’s performance for Scotland versus Israel?

While it may be fair to say that the Daily Record wasn’t too harsh in their assessment of McGregor’s performance in this Nations League game, plenty of international fans took to Twitter to slate the 27-year-old.

Yes, doesn’t contribute defensively and had two opportunities to create a chance in the final third, wasted both.

They were saying on the radio that McGregor has not scored in his twenty seven games. Anonymous tonight.
