Football Daily recently relayed a video involving Christie on Twitter. The Celtic midfielder was talking about Scotland’s penalty shootout win over Serbia in the play-off final of the qualifying stages for Euro 2020. The game had ended 1-1 after extra-time and Christie had scored Scotland’s only goal in normal time.
In the video interview, Christie said that the win was for the ‘whole nation’ as 2020 has been a ‘horrible’ year for everyone. He said that the team was looking to give something to the country during these times.

In the game, Christie had picked up a rating of 7.66/10 for Scotland. Apart from having scored the goal, he also played two key passes and completed one dribble. He attempted a total of four shots and was the highest-rated player on the pitch for Steve Clarke’s men (as per WhoScored).

Considering the fact that Christie picked up the highest rating for Scotland against Serbia, it was clearly a very good performance from him. Since it has helped Scotland qualify for a major tournament for the first time since 1998, it is easy to understand why Celtic fans are happy for the 25-year-old.
