In the interview, Kennedy said that Celtic’s win over Motherwell was a ‘good response’ following a ‘disappointing’ defeat to Sparta Prague in the Europa League. He hailed the attitude of the players in the game at Fir Park and believes that the 4-1 result was a ‘convincing’ win for the Bhoys.

The tweet carried these comments from Kennedy and it caught the attention of many Celtic fans. They made their opinion clear about the quotes from Kennedy.

Kennedy has been the club’s assistant manager since February 2019 and in the past, he has been the club’s manager but managed just six games for the Bhoys (as per Transfermarkt).

Celtic have conceded 11 Premiership goals this season – as many as third-placed Aberdeen. They have let in a total of nine goals in the group stages of the UEFA Europa League. Some other Celtic supporters also made their frustration clear about Kennedy.

Some of these Celtic fans believe that the club’s win over Motherwell wasn’t convincing. The Hoops had picked up a rating of 7.22 in the game, while Motherwell had a rating of only 6.33. This might be enough to suggest that it was indeed a convincing win.

Having said that, the Hoops are nine points behind the Gers in the table and because of that, it is understandable why fans are frustrated.
