The article on the club’s website states that the club is currently ‘committed’ to working with authorities to bring fans back to stadiums as quickly as possible. It said that because of the effects of the pandemic, there is a need to balance many factors while protecting the health of the people (as per Celticfc.com).

This comes after it was reported that the SPFL had sought ‘urgent’ talks with Sturgeon and the ministers after UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson had given the green light for fans to return to stadiums in England (as per Morning Star Online).

Some other Celtic fans also made their opinion clear about the club’s tweet.

There is a mixed reaction to this update, but one fan believes that the return of supporters to stadiums can still help the club win the title this season.

Having said that, the Hoops are 11 points behind Rangers in the table and they have won just a single game out of their last four league games. Meanwhile, they’ve not won a single game in the group stage of the Europa League going into tonight’s meeting with Sparta Prague (as per Transfermarkt).

Neil Lennon has already said that players have found it difficult without fans and in normal conditions, the presence of fans gives players a ‘lift’. This suggests that if fans do come back to the stadiums, players might find it less difficult to come up with high-level performances and maybe, that will help Celtic in turning their form around this season.
