Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest tweet from Anthony Joseph that recently emerged on social media.
Joseph’s recent tweet talked about Neil Lennon’s future at the club. His tweet said that Lennon is set to hold talks with the club’s hierarchy after Celtic’s loss to Ross County in the second round of the Scottish League Cup.
It also said that while the club’s board were backing him last week, there is ‘tangible’ domestic failure for them to see now.
Do you think Celtic will sack Neil Lennon this week?
Yes
No
This tweet from the Sky Sports journalist caught the attention of many Celtic fans, who began talking about the news update.
What did Celtic fans make of this update involving Neil Lennon?
I’ll be sad to see Neil go, hes Celtic through and through but he shouldn’t have been put in that position. This is a collective failure of the board & their disastrous decision making that has created this mess.

His job is 1000% untenable now mate. He needs to go now or the board seriously risk scenes even worse than last night when we lose another league game.

We demand change!
Don’t ruin your legacy Lennon. Leave while we still have a slim chance of saving 10 in a row
As for the board. You’ve let us down in recent weeks. Now is your chance to make a positive change https://t.co/RSyFPJyJAi

Joseph also relayed a tweet which carried an article from Sky Sports. This article said that Lennon will meet with the club’s hierarchy on Monday.
Last week, Lennon declared that Peter Lawwell has been “very, very supportive” of him. He also said that not just Lawwell, but the club’s majority shareholder Dermot Desmond is also supporting him.
Joseph’s update, though, caught the attention of some other Celtic fans as well.
Will we really be surprised if once again, our shambles of a board back him in his failings?, I for one will be more surprised if they dismiss him! The Celtic board are #Gambling10IAR #Mediocrity #Celtic #LennonOut ? https://t.co/0yaikgzJBj

While some fans feel that Lennon should leave, others are also criticising the club’s board.
Having said that, Lennon has already criticised his players this season. He did that following Celtic’s loss to Ferencvaros and he did that after their draw against Hibernian in the Premiership.
This clearly shows that the players are also a problem at Parkhead and perhaps fans should criticise them as well.
