Many Celtic fans have been discussing a tweet involving Odsonne Edouard that recently emerged on social media.
The Daily Record recently relayed an article involving the French striker. The article said that while Edouard happens to be the best player in Scotland, he’s been ‘nowhere near’ that standard this season. The piece said that the striker has managed to escape criticism and it went on to talk about some mitigating factors for how he hasn’t been at his best this season (as per the Daily Record).
A tweet about this was relayed on Twitter by the Daily Record themselves. It caught the attention of many Celtic supporters, who made their opinions clear about it.
What did Celtic fans make of this tweet involving Odsonne Edouard?
Him and Natcham just look uninterested and lazy on the pitch just now.

A full article written around a lie just to create a narrative. Fact is Eddie hade came in for loads of scrutiny same as rest of squad. So point of story is totally made up

Edouard was linked with a move to clubs like Aston Villa and Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window. French club Monaco had an approach rejected by Celtic in January 2020. Leicester were also linked with a move for the Frenchman (as per the Sun).
The Frenchman had tested positive for the virus during the previous international break and he has made eight Premiership appearances this season. Some other Celtic fans also discussed this tweet involving the striker.
Oh please shut up permanently

Some of these Celtic fans aren’t happy with the Daily Record but one fan believes that Edouard and Olivier Ntcham look lazy this season.
Edouard has picked up a rating of 7.29 in the Premiership this season and has contributed to five goals in the league already. Because of that, he has been the club’s fourth-best player in the campaign and that might be a reflection of the fact that he’s had a decent season. So it is understandable why some Celtic fans aren’t happy with the Daily Record for the article about the Frenchman.
