Laxalt joined Celtic on loan from Milan in the summer transfer window. Since arriving at the club, the Uruguayan has become a regular for the Bhoys and has made four Premiership appearances, making three further showings in the UEFA Europa League. He scored for Celtic in their recent 2-2 draw against Hibernian (as per Transfermarkt).

Responding to another tweet from the Daily Record, Celtic fans continued to make their opinions clear about the news involving Laxalt.

Some of these Celtic fans would like to see the club sign Laxalt permanently and seem convinced by his abilities, too.

As per WhoScored, the 27-year-old has picked up a rating of 7.07/10 in the Premiership this season. Only seven Celtic players have picked up better ratings than him in the league so far. In the Europa League, Laxalt has impressed by picking up a rating of 7.55 and has been Celtic’s highest-rated player in the competition.

This clearly suggests that he has had a very good time at Parkhead so far and because of that, the Hoops should try to sign him permanently.
