Celtic pundit Kevin Graham has recently hailed Diego Laxalt and his time at Parkhead so far.

Graham was a guest on the latest episode of the ‘A Celtic State of Mind’ podcast and the panel discussed multiple issues involving the Bhoys. One player that they focused on was Laxalt and his time at Celtic so far. Graham believes that he will enjoy every minute of the time that the Uruguayan spends at Parkhead in his ongoing loan stint.

Laxalt arrived at Celtic on loan from Milan in the summer transfer window. He spent the first half of the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Torino and returned to the Rossoneri in the second half of the season. He has already made four appearances in all competitions for the Bhoys this season. He is currently valued at £4.50m.

Graham expressed surprise at the fact that no other Italian clubs wanted to sign Laxalt and he believes that Celtic are lucky to have him at the club.

He said: “How no club in Italy didn’t take a chance on him… After what he’d done with Genoa and sitting on the bench at AC Milan, I think we’re extremely lucky to have him and I’m going to enjoy every single minute he plays in a Celtic jersey this season.”

TIF Thoughts on Graham’s comments regarding Laxalt…

Laxalt has played twice in the Premiership this season and has played twice in the UEFA Europa League too. In the league, he has picked up a rating of 6.50, but he has impressed a lot in the Europa League by picking up an average rating of 8.09 (as per WhoScored).

He has been the club’s second-best player in the Europa League and picked up very good ratings against both Milan and Lille. Because of that, it is understandable why Graham has a lot of positive things to say about the 27-year-old Uruguayan.
