Many Leeds United supporters have been responding to a Twitter post from The Athletic’s Phil Hay regarding the club’s defeat at the hands of Leicester City in the Premier League on Monday night.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side lost 4-1 at Elland Road, suffering their third defeat of the campaign. In his tweet, the journalist relayed some of the head coach’s thoughts as well as informing the fans of the fact that Rodrigo will miss Saturday’s game versus Crystal Palace due to the protocol amid the pandemic.
In response to the news that Leeds will be without their club-record signing at the weekend, sections of the Elland Road faithful have taken to social media to respond.
How have the Leeds fans responded to the news Rodrigo will miss their game versus Crystal Palace?
Why can he not have a test by the following week? That’s mental we get them at work twice every week surely this lot get them too.

im confused why none of the wolves lot had to self isolate after being with ronaldo, what’s the exact protocol on that?

Rodrigo is a huge miss that’s gonna hurt us.

Do you think it is unfair Rodrigo has to miss the weekend's game?
Yes
No
Leeds need to argue the case of Rodrigo. @PhilHay_ haven’t other clubs such as Wolves/West Brom skipped the isolation process?

It’s clear from the above responses that these supporters have been left frustrated by the fact they will be without their £27m-rated forward and feel that other clubs have found ways around the protocol.
That said, it has since emerged that Rodrigo has indeed tested positive for the virus, and posted to social media as he vowed to support the team from home for their upcoming game against the Eagles.
Rodrigo scored his only goal in the Premier League so far versus Manchester City in the game between the two sides last month at Elland Road (as per Transfermarkt) but despite that, we can assume based on their replies that these fans were disappointed to learn he will be unavailable.
