Former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has recently talked about his future, amidst links with a move to Celtic.

Former Bournemouth manager Howe recently appeared on Sky Sports and while he talked about many issues involving the game, he also talked about his future in the game. The Englishman said that he doesn’t want to get back into management for the sake of it and the next opportunity would have to be something that ‘motivated’ him.

Howe has been linked with a move to Celtic recently. As per ‘prominent‘ reporter Phil Mac Giolla Bhain, his representatives have been contacted by the Bhoys and after Celtic’s loss to Rangers, Neil Lennon was told that he was on a ‘yellow card’. After that, talks were held with both Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane, too.

When talking about his future, Howe said: “Then, if I decide to get back in, if I am lucky enough to get given an opportunity, I will do that. But for me, I do not want to get back in just for the sake of it, it would have to be something that really motivated me.”

TIF Thoughts on Howe’s comments about his future…

In his second stint at Bournemouth, Howe had managed the club for a little under eight years and he left the club at the end of the 2019/20 campaign. During his time at the club, the Cherries had earned promotion to the Championship and after two years, they were promoted to the Premier League as well.

While managing Bournemouth in the Premier League, Howe had even helped them finish as high as ninth in the 2016/17 campaign. This shows how capable a manager Howe is and because of that, he could be a very good choice for the Bhoys if Lennon does get sacked at some point in the future.
