Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to discuss Tanguy Ndombele’s performance in Spurs’ latest UEFA Europa League game versus Ludogorets Razgrad.
The French midfielder started this game for the Lilywhites and he played a role in Spurs’ first two goals, both of which were scored by on-loan centre-forward Carlos Vinicius.
The 23-year-old’s through ball to Dele Alli led to the Englishman playing a pass initially intended for Gareth Bale, which was deflected towards Vinicius who slotted the ball into Ludogorets Razgrad’s net to open the scoring in the 16th minute of the game.
In their live blog following this match, Football.London explained that the £36m-rated man ran through the centre of the pitch and took a shot that was then parried into the path of Dele Alli by Ludogorets Razgrad’s goalkeeper Plamen Iliev, and Alli then set up the Brazilian striker for his second of the game in the 34th minute.
Ndombele remained on the pitch until the 61st minute when he was replaced by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg nine minutes after he received a yellow card, but perhaps Jose Mourinho partially had Sunday’s Premier League clash with Chelsea on his mind when he decided to withdraw Ndombele from the pitch, with Football.London speculating that the French midfielder might start at Stamford Bridge.
So, what did these Tottenham Hotspur fans make of Ndombele’s performance versus Ludogorets Razgrad?
