A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been singing the praises of Spurs’ French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele for his performance in the north London club’s 0-0 Premier League draw with Chelsea on Sunday.
Ndombele is one of five Spurs players to have featured in all of the Lilywhites’ first 10 games of the 2020/21 Premier League season and so, perhaps it won’t have come as a big surprise to many Tottenham supporters that he made Jose Mourinho’s starting XI for Sunday’s game at Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old central midfielder was given a player rating of 7/10 from Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold for his latest Premier League performance, with the Tottenham reporter stating that Ndombele ‘dazzled Chelsea in the first half’ of this top-flight clash.
So, what did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say about Ndombele’s performance versus Chelsea?

Ndombele moves like a ballerina when in reality, he should move like an Eddie Stobart truck! Unreal player! #THFC

It would seem as though plenty of Tottenham supporters also felt that Ndombele, who is valued at £36m by Transfermarkt, caused Chelsea all kinds of problems in this game as they waxed lyrical about the 23-year-old on social media.
Better than in the second certainly, didn’t look threatening mind. Ndombele is just a wonderful, wonderful footballer ?

Ndombele’s workrate is great, he’s starting to show his worth. Rodon shows great promise and could be the secondary CB were looking for, good times to be a Tottenham fan #TOTCHE

I’ll take a point away at Stamford Bridge any day. You couldn’t tackle Tanguy Ndombele in a locked phone booth though. #thfc #coys

Ndombele remained on the pitch until the 65th minute of this fixture, at which point he was replaced by Giovani Lo Celso and some Spurs fans indicated that they believe the Frenchman’s departure from the pitch resulted in a noticeable drop in Spurs’ performance levels.
You really notice when Ndombele comes off the pitch. He went off and we lost all attacking threat.
