Some Celtic fans have been slating Hoops forward Odsonne Edouard on Twitter for his performance in the Hoops’ 2-0 Scottish League Cup loss to Ross County on Sunday afternoon.

The French striker is currently Celtic’s second-highest goalscorer for the 2020/21 campaign, having scored eight goals in his 16 appearances for the Hoops in all competitions so far this term.

However, despite playing the full 90 minutes in Sunday’s clash with the Staggies, Edouard was unable to help Neil Lennon’s side to score a single goal in Sunday’s fixture.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say about Edouard’s performance versus Ross County?

GlasgowLive gave Edouard a player rating of 5/10 for his performance in this Scottish League Cup tie and they stated that while the £13.5m-rated man ‘had a few half chances’ versus Ross County, he ‘was relatively quiet’ and failed to play ‘at the level that fans know he can reach’ in this 2-0 loss.

It would seem as though plenty of Hoops supporters agree with GlasgowLive’s assessment of the 22-year-old’s performance in this game judging by the criticism that the attacker has been receiving from some members of the Parkhead faithful on social media.
