Speaking on a recent episode of the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano discussed the happiness of Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho.

Since being appointed Spurs manager in November 2019, following the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino, Mourinho has taken charge of 50 games of the north London side, winning 27, drawing 10 and losing 13, with his side scoring 101 goals and conceding 68.

So far this term, his first full season as manager of the club, the 57-year-old has led Spurs to five victories, two draws and one loss in the Premier League, results which have left the club sitting in second place in the table.

Mourinho also oversaw a busy summer transfer window, which saw the permanent arrivals of Sergio Reguilon, Matt Doherty, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Rodon and Joe Hart, as well as Carlos Vinicius and Gareth Bale on loan deals.

The Portuguese manager was one topic of conversation on a recent episode of the Here We Go podcast, in which Romano discussed the job Mourinho has done at Spurs thus far, as well as his happiness in north London.

He said: “I want to say about Jose Mourinho, he’s really happy with Tottenham. I want to share with Tottenham fans, with Tottenham listeners, because many times they ask me, ‘how is the situation at Tottenham, not just on the pitch, but also outside?’

“Many times they were talking about, ‘Jose is not happy about the signings, about the transfer window.’ So, we had a lot of rumours [in the] last [few] months. But then they had a good summer, in my opinion, they’ve been one of the best clubs in the world with their signings – with Gareth Bale, with Sergio Reguilon.

“So, at the moment, Mourinho is really, really happy with Tottenham, with the board, with Daniel Levy, with the club, with the players. They are starting to be really convinced they can win together. They feel they are on the right way to be back, to win something.”

TIF Thoughts on Fabrizio Romano’s comments regarding Jose Mourinho…

From Romano’s comments, it is clear that the journalist is of the belief that Mourinho has instilled a winning mentality into the Spurs squad, and that the manager himself is delighted with how things are going with the club at present.

And, we have to say, considering Spurs are currently on a seven-game unbeaten run in the league, as well as going well in the Europa League and Carabao Cup, we can’t see much reason as to why Mourinho would be unhappy with his current situation at Tottenham.
