Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to social media in order to respond to a Twitter post from the club’s official account in which they shared some behind the scenes footage ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester City this weekend.

Jose Mourinho’s side have started this season strongly and as a result, they currently sit second in the table, having lost just once on the opening weekend against Everton.

Dele Alli, who has become a bit-part player at Spurs, playing just 66 minutes of Premier League football this season was featured in the footage, prompting much discussion amongst these supporters.

How have the Spurs fans reacted to the club’s Twitter post?

Are you confident Spurs will beat Man City this weekend?

It’s clear from the above responses that these supporters were keeping their eyes open for the 24-year-old when watching the video with some suggesting he looked poor during the practice game. Others, however, questioned why a couple of the club’s attacking stars hadn’t been spotted in the footage.

Spurs have the chance to extend their lead over last season’s runners-up to eight points with a win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend. If the Lilywhites are to stake their claim as title contenders this season, a win over one of their rivals, in our view, would go some way in convincing the doubters of their credentials.
