Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Steve Bruce provided his team news ahead of the club’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.
In his comments, which were relayed by the official Newcastle United Twitter account, Bruce stated that Callum Wilson ‘will be fit’ and that he was ‘delighted’ about this, before adding that Ryan Fraser is ‘still a week or so away’ from being available for selection, while Jamaal Lascelles ‘is a doubt’. Elsewhere, Matt Ritchie and Jonjo Shelvey ‘are both OK’ and ‘will feature’ in the Palace game on Friday.
So, what did these Newcastle United fans have to say in reaction to Steve Bruce’s team news?
Wilson is fit ? he probably will be the difference if we beat Palace. #NUFC https://t.co/0SdmYYPywz

Thank god, with Wilson fit we actually have some chance.

The fact that these Newcastle fans appear to be focusing on the return of Wilson to the side rather than the other players Bruce mentioned is not overly surprising, as the forward has already scored six goals over his eight Premier League appearances since joining the club from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.
Do you think Wilson can fire Newcastle to victory against Palace?
Yes
No
The 28-year-old missed the club’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea last weekend due to a hamstring injury, however, judging from the manager’s recent comments, Wilson would appear to be available for selection on Friday, something which has pleased many more Newcastle fans on Twitter.
Great news. We can now score if we win a penalty.

Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser will be defending for 90 minutes even though that’s clearly not their roles

All in all, it would appear that, while the majority of these fans are delighted with Wilson’s return, some are still pessimistic about their side’s chances in the fixture.
