A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed news from the Daily Telegraph concerning the proposed takeover of the Toon.
On Thursday, the club released a statement claiming that they are in an ongoing legal battle with the Premier League over the club’s failed takeover by PCP Capital Partners, PIF, and the Reuben brothers, which was withdrawn in July.
This statement was then followed by this article, which claims that if the Toon are successful in their legal challenge, then the consortium will bid for the club again and try to complete this takeover.
This has drawn the attention of these Newcastle fans, who are very happy.
So what did these Newcastle fans think of this news regarding the consortium?
A think PL will buckle and accept defeat! The have zero chance of winning and must accept wats a great move not just the club but for the whole region ????? only thing holding it up is tha bank hander sponsorships

Are you pleased with this?
Yes, I am buzzing
No, it will all go wrong
The bid was initially withdrawn in July, but then the consortium tried again, but that also failed to push the takeover through.
So, now the decision will be settled legally, and it looks like the consortium will be trying to buy the club again if Newcastle win their case against the Premier League.
However, some Newcastle fans are still not convinced.
Yes but the Premier have already said they are going to make changes to the test, with the pif pulling out they would have to do the test again (the new test) which is bound to having something the EPL can legally fail them on. All I can see is more money in Ashley’s pocket.

So, it looks like it is up to the lawyers and legal professionals now to resolve this takeover saga.
Still, it is clear that many Toon fans are hopeful of this takeover finally happening.
We will just have to see how this story develops over time.
