A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from Lee Ryder that contains a link to an article from The Chronicle with an injury update on Andy Carroll, who is valued at £2.88 million (as per Transfermarkt).
The piece claims that Carroll has been ruled out of Newcastle’s trip to Crystal Palace tonight.
However, the piece also states that Callum Wilson is back, and Dwight Gayle has finally returned to training.
These Newcastle fans, though, are most interested in the injury update on Carroll, with many thinking this will make no difference.
So, what did these Newcastle fans think of this news on Andy Carroll?
Bow out with some good games still in memory and hang the boots up. Nothing bad towards Andy overall but he should know now his time is up.

Not a blow he’s done nothing since rejoining apart from being injured

Hardly a blow is it.

Do you think Newcastle will miss Carroll?
No, he has done nothing
Yes, he has had an impact in some games
Injuries throughout his career have plagued the former England international, and even since he returned to the Toon, he has missed 14 games due to injury.
So, it is probably no surprise that the 31-year-old has picked up another injury, and these Toon fans are certainly not surprised.
Wouldn’t class him as a player mate

Really what difference does it make, he plays all them on in their own 18 yard box, the blokes a joke as is the club, 3 musketeers killed us

It is unclear how bad Carroll’s injury is but given his injury record; then it would not be a surprise if it rules him out for some time.
However, given his performances in the Premier League this season, we doubt Newcastle will miss him too much for the duration that he is out injured.
