This comes after Rabinowitz recently made an appearance on the Liverpool Echo’s Blood Red Podcast where he spoke about a number of topics concerning Jurgen Klopp’s side.

First up in this Steven Gerrard quiz, how old is the former Liverpool man?

On the topic of Robertson and his fitness levels ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Leicester City at the weekend, Rabinowitz had this to say on the situation.

He said: “I’m still not entirely convinced that Robertson is actually injured. We don’t have any inside information on that, I just have a feeling, given he played 120 minutes in Scotland’s game against Serbia, which was obviously their most important one and I think he mentioned on his post-match interview that he was feeling some tightness in his hamstring.

“I do wonder if Klopp was just on the phone straight away saying, ‘you’re not playing him in either of these next two games, get him back now,’ so hopefully, that is the case.”

The defender was a doubt to play in Scotland’s UEFA Nations League clash against Israel in midweek after missing out on their 1-0 defeat to Slovakia as a result of a hamstring issue he picked up. However, Robertson did manage to play through the entire defeat against Israel.

The 26-year-old, who is currently valued at £67.5 million, signed to Liverpool back in the 2017 summer transfer window from Hull City for a fee of £8.1 million.

Since then, the full-back has gone on to make 139 appearances for the Reds across all competitions in which he has managed to score five goals and provide 32 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts on Rabinowitz’s comments on Robertson…

With Liverpool currently having a significant number of players out injured at the moment, it’s understandable why Rabinowitz thinks Klopp may have been a bit worried when news broke out that Robertson had an issue with his hamstring.

But now that he has played another full game for Scotland, this should put to bed any worries over his hamstring or any other particular injury he may have and will now make him available to play against Leicester.
