Some Leeds United supporters on Twitter have been slating Robin Koch’s performance in the Whites’ 4-1 Premier League loss at home to Leicester City on Monday.
Koch played the entirety of Monday’s fixture and the 24-year-old German defender was given a match rating of five by LeedsLive for his performance in this loss to the Foxes, which was the joint-lowest rating that the publication gave to any Whites player in this game – though they also gave no Leeds player a higher rating than six for their performance in last night’s contest.
As explained by LeedsLive, the £15.3m-rated centre-back made an error that led to the away side scoring the opening goal which came in the second minute of this contest, and from that point on, Brendan Rodgers’ side held onto the lead for the remainder of the game.
So, how did these Leeds fans react to Koch’s performance versus Leicester City?
Not a good game for Koch. Couldn’t keep up with Vardy not to mention the debacle of the first goal. #LEELEI #lufc

Koch n bamford been scandalous I hate moaning on here about players but just seems crazy bamford chances and Koch made 4 mistakes in how many matches #lufc

Vardy has got into Kochs head. Koch is all over the place #lufc

Conditions not helping, but we’ve been done there, Koch having a ’mare early on. Pablo needs game time desperately & no Phillips is brutal.
Oh well let’s get stuck in, Pat’s had his misses now time for some goals#lufc

Koch looks like Bambi on ice, tonight in the rain, can’t keen track of Vardy at all.
Bamford looks a million miles away from the player who scored a hatrick last week.

Koch should be dropped after this game. Has led to 3-4 goals already this season himself. #LUFC

No Dazz we were awful mate … passing wayward and defending was horrific… Koch I’m not a fan off he makes too many errors… we don’t have a strong bench at all… yes I know we had a couple out but still not good enough
— Barbz2012 (@cbarber8712) November 2, 2020
Considering that his error played a notable part in Leicester taking an early lead in this match, it may be understandable why plenty of Whites supporters took to Twitter to criticise Koch’s performance in this game.
You’re not wrong mate. Think Koch wasn’t on point tonight. Our crossing and passing was poor
— Harry ?? (@harry93lufc) November 2, 2020
Koch again not tracking back with his man he’s had a really poor game
— Tony Cooper (@RochdaleRhino) November 2, 2020
According to LeedsLive, the 24-year-old did show some improvement as the game went on following his early error, however, that didn’t stop these Whites fans from airing their frustration with Koch and his performance versus the Foxes.
Cooper or Koch? Koch poor. Ridiculous decision for the first goal. Wasn’t great after it…
— Dirty Filthy Leeds ?? (@CurtJames1993) November 2, 2020
And if Koch didn’t make his mistake we’d have still been in it aswell. No one was good
— Dave ? (@DAVIDLUFC_) November 2, 2020
Were you happy with Koch's performance versus Leicester City?
YES
NO
So, judging by these Leeds supporters’ tweets, it certainly seems as though Koch didn’t manage to endear himself to many Whites fans via his performance in Monday’s 4-1 loss to Leicester.
