Many Leeds United supporters have flocked to social media in order to respond to a post from the club’s official Twitter account in which they shared the fact that the Whites and Marcelo Bielsa were recently presented with the LMA Performance of the Week award.
The LMA panel, consisting of former Leeds boss Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett, Barry Fry, Paul Ince and Rachel Yankey determined that the award should be presented to the Elland Road-based club for their 3-0 victory over Aston Villa on Friday 23 October.
The win over Dean Smith’s side was Leeds United’s third of the Premier League campaign so far and Patrick Bamford stole the show, netting a second-half hat-trick (as per BBC Sport).
How did a sample of the Leeds United faithful react to the post on social media?
It seems to me the whole club, it’s culture, the team, the people are as one. Loving it @LUFC

Are you confident going into the fixture versus Leicester City at Elland Road?
Yes
No
It’s clear from the above responses that these fans believe the award was well deserved, with one supporter, in particular, pointing out how happy Marcelo Bielsa looked in the photograph. However, amongst Bielsa and his staff, Ezgjan Alioski also featured, prompting a response from some supporters:
Why is alioski there ??

Alioski part of the management team? Explains why the club has been mad since Marcelo joined

Alioski played at left-back during the recent victory over Aston Villa (as per Transfermarkt) and according to WhoScored, his performance earned him an impressive rating of 7.27/10. In our view, given his solid display on the night, it could be argued he deserves a place in the photograph alongside the head coach and some of his staff.
