A lot of Leeds United fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account relaying the news that the Whites’ attacking midfielder Tyler Roberts has been called up to the latest Wales squad.
Roberts has made nine appearances in total for Wales’ senior national team during his career, the most recent of which came versus Bulgaria during October’s international break.
This post from Leeds’ official Twitter account includes a link to an article on the club’s official website which explains that Roberts will be part of a squad that is set to take on the United States, the Republic of Ireland and Finland in November’s international break.
So, how did these Leeds United fans react to this news on Roberts?

While it may be fair to say that this international call-up is positive news for the Leeds player, not all of the replies to this post were positive and some Whites fans slated the £3.24m-rated man in response to this tweet.
He’s dreadful player for us.

If we want to go further than midtable he’s surely not in the plans.

A couple of Whites fans debated the potential of the 21-year-old in response to this tweet from their club. One particular Leeds supporter was positive about Roberts’ potential, stating that they think ‘he will improve,’ while another Leeds supporter disagreed with that claim and stated that they don’t think that will happen.
He’s 21, he’s just been called up for Wales, Bielsa rates him, he will improve. Also, mid table, first season back in the prem would be great!

What has he done this season that has been outstanding? I hope he does improve but I just don’t see it

Meanwhile, one fan of the Yorkshire club shared that they think Roberts needs to be sent out on loan and another Whites supporter agreed with this comment but also indicated that they don’t think he deserves the criticism he gets.
Still needs a loan move

he for sure needs some first team experience but he’s getting a lot of stick to say hes 21, was just 19 when he start getting consecutive league starts in the 2018/19 season. Playing out of position and suffered injuries, I’d suspect loan to a championship when we have more depth

Are you a fan of Roberts?
YES
NO
So, judging by these tweets, it seems as though opinion is divided amongst Whites fans on Roberts.
