Leeds United fans have flocked to Twitter to share their criticism for Whites midfielder Mateusz Klich and his performance during Leeds’ 4-1 defeat to Leicester City at Elland Road.

Coming off the back of a strong 3-0 win over Aston Villa away from home in which Klich earned himself a match rating of 7.34/10 (as per WhoScored), Leeds couldn’t repeat the same result against the Foxes.

So, what did these Leeds fans make of Klich’s performance against Leicester?

Leeds signed the midfielder, who is now valued at £3.15 million (as per Transfermarkt), back in 2017 from Dutch side FC Twente for a fee of £1.53 million. Leeds Live gave Klich a match rating of 5/10 for his performance against Leicester, stating that he “enjoyed himself more in the second half when Leicester retreated back and gave the Pole space in deep, but when the pressure was on in the first half, there was no protection for the defenders. Klich was out of position plenty and there were costly errors thrown in, too.”

Looking at these tweets from this group of Leeds fans, it’s clear that they weren’t happy with Klich’s performance against Leicester. Moving forward, the best thing Klich and Leeds can do now would be to put this game behind them and focus on getting a positive result and putting in a good performance in their next league fixture.
