Many Leeds United fans have flocked to the latest tweet from Phil Hay that recently emerged on social media.
Hay recently issued an injury update involving Leeds, ahead of the club’s Premier League game against Everton. The journalist said that three of the club’s players – Pablo Hernandez, Diego Llorente and Jamie Shackleton are still recovering from their injuries and they won’t feature in the game against the Toffees.
The Whites play Everton in the Premier League on Saturday at Goodison Park. Hay’s tweet caught the attention of many Leeds fans, who began talking about the injury update.

It’s such a shame that Hernandez is suffering injuries when he finally got his chance in the prem with us.

Llorente has been injured since October, when he was on international duty. He was suffering from a muscle problem and he is yet to play a single game for the Whites (as per BT).
As for Hernandez, the Spaniard last featured in the league for Leeds in their game against Leicester City and Shackleton has made three league appearances in the current campaign.
Some other Leeds fans also flocked to the latest update from Hay.

Llorente = JKA 2.0

These Leeds fans now seem to have serious doubts about Llorente’s fitness and one fan feels that the club has been ‘scammed’.
Having said that, Llorente does have a rather concerning injury record. While he missed eight games due a muscle injury in the 2019/20 season for Real Sociedad, he missed 15 games due to different injuries in the 2018/19 campaign. Two of them were muscle injuries (as per Transfermarkt).
This suggests that injuries aren’t a new problem for Llorente and perhaps, Leeds fans should’ve expected this, when the defender signed for them in the summer.
