Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Joe Urquhart relayed the events of United’s U21 side’s EFL Trophy match against Blackpool.
In his post, Urquhart, who was live-tweeting updates from the eventual 3-0 loss, commented on Blackpool’s third goal, which he deemed a ‘screamer’ that left Kiko Casilla, who started in goal for the youth side, ‘rooted’.
So, what did these Leeds United fans have to say in reaction to Joe Urquhart’s post on Twitter?
Stood and watched it float in. Top priority in Jan is a GK

MB was stupid to keep him in the summer window

Casilla needs to leave

Casilla has made just one appearance for Marcelo Bielsa’s first team so far this season, in the club’s defeat on penalties to Hull City in the Carabao Cup back in September. Meanwhile, Illan Meslier, who joined the club in what was a £5.85 million permanent deal this summer having spent last season on loan at the club, appears to be the Argentine’s first-choice between the sticks.
Do you think Leeds should move Kiko Casilla on in January?
Yes
No
The singular appearance for Casilla this season is only the £1.35 million-rated 34-year-old’s second first-team appearance since serving an eight-game ban towards the back end of last season, after the Spaniard was found to have racially abused Jonathan Leko in a match against Charlton Athletic in September 2019.

We really need another keeper. Casilla worries me sick. In fact we need to strengthen at the back more than anything. The squad is just not strong enough for this league

Kiko not fighting for that #1 Jersey

All in all, it would appear the vast majority of these Leeds fans would like to see their club move Casilla on as soon as possible – and considering his previous actions, we have to say, we completely understand where they are coming from.
