Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Jose Mourinho provided an update on the fitness of Spurs winger, Erik Lamela.
According to Mourinho, whose comments were relayed by the Tottenham Hotspur Twitter account, Lamela, who has been sidelined in recent weeks due to a calf injury, looks unlikely to be available for selection in both the club’s Europa League fixture against Ludogorets on Thursday and their Premier League clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

Since moving to Spurs from AS Roma back in 2013, the £14.4 million-rated Lamela has gone on to make 232 appearances for the club, scoring 35 goals and providing 46 assists along the way.

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Spurs fans are disappointed to hear that Lamela will not likely be featuring in the club’s next two fixtures, with some stating their belief that the winger would be perfect for the Chelsea fixture, while others have shared their hope for his return ahead of the north London derby with Arsenal, which is scheduled for a week on Saturday.
