Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest transfer update involving Ryan Christie that recently emerged on social media.
The Scottish Sun recently reported that Christie currently tops the wanted list of Ligue 1 side Nice, who value the Scotsman at £10million. The article also mentions interest from Burnley and Newcastle United.
It also states that Celtic are currently keen to keep the midfielder at Parkhead.
What do these Celtic fans think of the transfer news?
Be honest, if you got the chance to live in Nice and play under Patrick Viera you’d jump at it https://t.co/5w3fUQ3YSB

Nonsense usual attempt to try to upset Celtic fans on the lead up to important match

A report last month had linked Burnley with a move for Christie. It claimed that the Clarets were ‘in the running’ to sign Christie when he was at Inverness Caledonian Thistle and the Scotsman happens to be a long-term target for Sean Dyche and Burnley, who have continued to monitor his progress (as per the Daily Record).
Some other Celtic fans also discussed the update involving the player and Nice’s interest in signing him.
French giants?

Must be a Glasgow derby coming up so far tomorrow we have bullied Southampton into Moi coming back and they want him back next summer and Ryan Christie wants out to OGC Nice!

Some of these Celtic fans don’t believe the news and feel that it comes some days before the Old Firm derby and is just a way of distracting the Hoops before an important game.
Christie’s current contract at Parkhead runs out in the summer of 2022 and the club is currently in talks to extend his deal at the Glasgow-based side.
In the current season, Christie has already contributed to 10 goals in 13 appearances in all competitions. Last season, he contributed to 35 goals in 43 games in all competitions as well.
So, Christie is clearly an important player for Celtic and even though clubs seem to be keeping tabs on him, Celtic should try to keep him at Parkhead for as long as possible.
