Many Celtic fans have been fuming at the performance of Shane Duffy in the club’s Europa League game against Lille.
Duffy had featured in the Hoops’ game against Lille on Thursday. Neil Lennon’s men started the game in a 4-2-3-1 shape and the Irishman started in the centre of the defence beside Kristoffer Ajer (as per WhoScored).
Duffy gave away a penalty in the first half but Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain managed to save Jonathan David’s spot-kick.
However, some Celtic fans weren’t pleased with Duffy’s performance and they made their opinions clear about the defender.

Duffy arrived at Celtic on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window and he started off the Premiership campaign well as he scored twice in his first two games. After his performance against Aberdeen last weekend, Kris Commons had described Duffy as an ‘accident waiting to happen’.
Neil Lennon then made his unhappiness clear with the criticism that Duffy was getting from certain parts of the media. Some other Celtic fans, though, were also not happy with the 28-year-old’s performance against Lille.
Shane Duffy out my club!

Shane Duffy’s gonna cost us the 10

Shane Duffy, I’d feel safer with Frimpong at centre half than him. #LILCEL

Celtic fans are clearly not happy about Duffy’s showing against the French side and they’re making their opinions clear about him.
He picked up rather unimpressive ratings in Celtic’s games against Milan and Aberdeen. This might be enough to suggest that Duffy isn’t having a good time with the Parkhead-based club and he needs to improve his performances soon.
