Many Celtic supporters have flocked to social media in order to respond to a Twitter post from their former player Chris Sutton after he posted following their UEFA Europa League group stage defeat at the hands of AC Milan on Thursday.
The Serie A leaders ran out 3-1 winners at Celtic Park thanks to goals from Rade Krunic, Brahim Diaz and Jens Petter Hauge. Neil Lennon’s side did score themselves via Mohamed Elyounoussi’s header (as per BBC Sport) but it wasn’t enough to impact on the result.
Sutton described the night as a ‘disappointing’ one for the Hoops and lots of the club’s faithful expressed their feelings in the replies.
What did the Celtic fans make of Sutton’s comments following the defeat versus AC Milan?
Lenny is a tactical dinosaur. He can’t see that playing three at the back is killing the club at tho moment. When we go behind he hasn’t got a clue on how to fight back at one point he was scratching his head like a neanderthal. Lot of respect for what he’s done but times up

AC were beatable tonight. Needs to start taking responsibility, tried to say we created chances in the first half and deserved something from the game in his post match interview. Not far off reaching crisis point, concerns all over the pitch. Still salvageable, but a poor start.

Is it time for a change of management at Celtic?
Yes
No
Whilst it was clear from the above, those fans have grown tired of Neil Lennon’s management, others questioned why Sutton is yet to question the boss’ position.
When are you going start castigating your old pal like you did with Ronnie? Admit it, it’s not working…can’t let this drag on…no clue on formation or personnel. Asleep at the wheel.

Why you not questioning his position Chris ? You would if it was anyone else let’s be honest

You’re allowed to criticise Lennon. You’re not contracted by Celtic you can criticise him.

It’s clear from the above responses that many of these supporters are growing tired of the Celtic boss Neil Lennon, with some suggesting it is time for a change. The 49-year-old previously managed the club between March 2010 and May 2014 (as per Transfermarkt) and after a spell as the caretaker boss between February and May last year he was reappointed.
The club have the opportunity this season to win their tenth Scottish Premiership title in a row but after a defeat in last weekend’s Old Firm derby and now this latest disappointment, it seems he could be under some pressure.
