A lot of Celtic fans have aired their thoughts on the performance of Diego Laxalt during the Bhoys’ 3-1 defeat to AC Milan in the Europa League.
The Uruguayan international is a recent arrival on loan from AC Milan and was named as the Man of the Match despite playing just 77 minutes.
Celtic found themselves 2-0 down at half-time thanks to goals from Rade Krunic and Brahim Diaz.
The Bhoys responded in the second half and pulled a goal back thanks to Mohamed Elyounoussi before a goal from Jens Petter Hauge sealed the win for AC Milan and condemned Lennon’s team to their second defeat in a week having also lost the Old Firm derby last Saturday.
However, it seems as if many Celtic fans were impressed by Laxalt despite the defeat and lavished him with praise.
So, what did these Celtic fans make of Laxalt’s display?
Were you happy with Laxalt?
Yes, he played well
No, he wasn't that good
Really good second half from us. Milan quite average – Didn’t create anything of note. Could’ve been a different story with Jullien and Ajer at the center of a back four. Diego Laxalt is absolutely tremendous.

Laxalt made 35 appearances for AC Milan before he moved to Celtic Park on loan and though he struggled against the Gers in earning a 6.45 rating, it seems as if he impressed these Celtic fans against his parent club.
Going from Greg Taylor to Diego Laxalt is simply a blessing we didn’t deserve

Though it is early days in Laxalt’s Celtic career it is clear that despite being on the losing side, he impressed these Bhoys fans who clearly are expecting big things from the 27-year-old and are looking forward to seeing more from him as the season goes on.
