Many Celtic fans have been reacting to a comment that Neil Lennon’s agent has recently made on social media.
Lennon’s agent, Martin Reilly, recently posted on Twitter and he said that the Celtic side was ‘decimated’ for the Old Firm derby. He said that his client will deliver as he always does.
This comment came after Celtic’s 2-0 loss to the Gers in the Old Firm derby on Saturday. Reilly’s comment caught the attention of many Celtic fans.

Martin – name the last time Celtic under Lennon performed well in a big game? Other than lazio it’s probably the rangers 2-0 over a year ago and that was due to a massive tactical error on Gerrards part. It’s a known fact he doesn’t work on tactics/set pieces enough and it shows

The truth is @martinjreilly69 that Neil Lennon has always been a mediocre manager, everything he has won domestically has been against nothing. He’s tactically naive & Gerrard has his number.
The best thing he could do for the club is walk away before its too late!

As a result of the 2-0 defeat in the Old Firm, Celtic failed to go to the top of the table and stayed in the second position. They are now four points behind the Gers and have a game in hand (as per BBC Sport).
Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard had tested positive for the virus, along with Nir Bitton and Hatem Abd Elhamed. Ryan Christie was in isolation as he came in close contact with Stuart Armstrong.
Some other Celtic fans were also not happy about the comments of Lennon’s agent.

These Celtic fans are clearly not happy with how Reilly is defending his client and they’re making their opinion very clear about it.
The Bhoys have played just ten games in the league season so far and quite a few games are still left in the Premiership. They have already reached the group stages of the UEFA Europa League too.
So there’s still a lot of time for Celtic to turn things around and because of that, it might be too early to criticise Lennon. Perhaps, it would be best to make concrete judgments about him once the season ends.
