Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest comments from Leigh Griffiths that recently emerged on social media.
In a recent press conference, Griffiths made some comments about Celtic’s current form. He said that the Hoops are currently only two points behind their total at this point last season but people are thinking that the club is in ‘crisis’. The Scotsman said that the team will keep ‘plugging away’ and get some results.
A tweet about these comments was relayed on Twitter by the official Celtic Twitter account. It caught the attention of many Celtic fans and they made their opinion clear about what Griffiths had to say.
What did Celtic fans make of Leigh Griffiths’ latest comments?
Downplaying the situation is a slap in the face to fans.
“Only two points away”, we should be counting how many points ahead we are!!— ? K E N N Y ? (@TheKennyScott) October 27, 2020
Will Celtic recover from the current situation?
Yes
No
Looks as if the board getting behind Lenny. It’s a major gamble as there is something very wrong in the background here. The shape, the tactics, the coaching all look to be lacking. Confidence had also gone. A defeat on Thursday and Sunday has to be a turning point.

Why we comparing last season this is for the 10.. they’ve improved we cannot drop any points. Plus LG’s attitude pre-season hasn’t helped the team/manager.

Right, so we are 3 games without a win. Probs about to go 4 games.
But please, Lennon, McGregor, Griffiths etc. keep telling us that we’re overreacting ? https://t.co/J3Y5RbChjH

The Bhoys have not won a single game out of their last three games in all competitions. They were held to a 3-3 draw by Aberdeen at Pittodrie recently. They lost to AC Milan in the group stages of the Europa League and they lost in the Old Firm derby as well. As a result, they are now six points behind the Gers and have a game in hand (as per Transfermarkt).
Celtic face Lille in the Europa League next and they will then take on Aberdeen again in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup from the 2019/20 campaign.
Some other Celtic fans were also talking about Griffiths’ comments and they had positive things to say about them.

There is clearly a mixed reaction to what Griffiths had to say. Some fans are negative about the current situation while others took some positives from Griffiths’ comments.
Celtic had lost to the Gers at the end of 2019 last season too and because of that, they were only two points above Steven Gerrard’s men, who had a game in hand. Despite that, they recovered and didn’t lose a single game in the second half of the Premiership campaign and won the title.
This suggests that the team knows how to recover from tough positions and Celtic fans can only hope that they do it again this season soon.
