Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been talking about a news update involving Milan Skriniar that recently emerged on social media.

FCInterNews recently reported that Paris Saint-Germain had made a last-minute offer for Skriniar. It was an initial loan offer with the obligation to buy the Slovakian after a single season for a fee of €40 million (£36.3 million). The report claims that if Spurs had made a similar sort of offer a few days before the transfer deadline day, Inter would’ve accepted the bid.

This update was relayed on Twitter by Talking THFC and the tweet caught the attention of many Spurs fans. They made their feelings very clear about this news.

The report has also claimed that Inter didn’t want to let Skriniar go so late in the transfer window because it would have left them with very little time on their hands to sign a potential replacement. Chris Smalling was the Nerazzurri’s first-choice option to replace the former Sampdoria man, but the Englishman was ‘looking forward’ to a move to Roma (as per FCInterNews).

Some other Tottenham fans also discussed the update involving Skriniar.

One fan even claimed that Daniel Levy has done it again, which may relate to the fact that Spurs missed out on Jack Grealish on deadline day back in August 2018.

These Spurs fans believe that the club should make an attempt to sign Skriniar in the January transfer window.

The report claims that Skriniar has expressed his desire to stay at Inter and that is another obstacle that came in Inter’s way. PSG could yet look to try and sign Skriniar in the summer of 2021 and they still hold him in high regard.

So while Spurs fans still want the club to sign the defender, it clearly won’t be easy because of the aforementioned reasons. PSG still seem interested and it remains to be seen if the player is intent on leaving Inter or not.
