Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays transfer news regarding the club’s left-back, Danny Rose.

According to a report by The Athletic, Spurs received ‘no concrete interest in Rose’ over the course of the summer transfer window, with the player said to be ‘happy to wait until January for a move’, or even to simply ‘leave when his contract expires next summer’.

After this news was relayed on Twitter by Hotspur Related, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many stating their belief that the player’s attitude is the reason no clubs were interested in taking him over the summer transfer window.

Making his Spurs debut as a 19-year-old back in 2009, Rose has featured 214 times for the club, chipping in with 10 goals and providing 29 assists along the way.

However, last season, the £14.4 million-rated 30-year-old appeared to fall out of favour following Jose Mourinho’s appointment as manager on November 20, making just three league appearances under the Portuguese manager, before he was eventually loaned out to Newcastle United in January.

Last month, it was reported that Mourinho would be ‘happy’ for Rose to leave the club in the summer transfer window, however, no deals materialised for the left-back, and, following the news that the defender appears happy to remain at the club for the rest of the season, many more Spurs fans took to Twitter to share their opinion on the matter.
