Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the reported suggestion that Inter were in serious talks to sign Sergio Reguilon in the recent transfer window.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano in his ‘Here We Go Podcast’ (via TranSPURS), the Serie A side were keen on signing the Spanish international, but once he had the opportunity to join Tottenham he did so, as he wanted to move to the Premier League. The 23-year-old joined from Real Madrid in a deal worth £27 million, although Los Blancos included a clause which means they can buy the defender back (as per Football.london).

Spurs fans continued to share their delight with this news, in their replies, with one fan suggesting that perhaps this was the reason why Inter were unwilling to budge on their asking price for Milan Skriniar when negotiating with the Lilywhites during the recent transfer window.

Overall, it seems as if a lot of Spurs fans enjoyed this news on Reguilon and will be hoping to see the Spanish international impress during his time with the Lilywhites.
